Privacy Policy
Running Tally · Last updated 2 October 2026
This policy explains what Running Tally (the "plugin"), published by Auteur, collects when you use it inside ChatGPT, why, and what control you have.
What we collect and process
- The tracker names, numbers, units, goals and short notes you log.
- ChatGPT's coarse timezone hint, to decide where your days start and end.
ChatGPT sends us an anonymous user identifier with each request. We never receive your name, e-mail address or chat history. We store only a one-way hash of that identifier so your saved items stay yours. We do not ask for or accept passwords, payment details, government identifiers or health records.
Why
Only to perform the action you asked the plugin to do and to show you the result. We do not sell data, show ads, build advertising profiles, or use your content to train models.
Who receives it
- No one else. Processing happens on our servers hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (infrastructure provider).
How long we keep it
Entries are kept for up to 400 days, and trackers until you delete them. Server logs that may contain IP addresses are kept by our hosting provider for up to 7 days for security.
Your controls
- Delete any entry or a whole tracker in the Running Tally card, or ask ChatGPT to.
- Export everything as CSV at any time.
Children
The plugin is not directed at children under 13.
